At New Bloom Dermatology, we are dedicated to providing exceptional dermatology services tailored to your needs. Booking an appointment with one of our expert providers is simple and convenient. We prefer direct bookings on our website as all available appointment times are listed and direct communication is established with the office. We are accepting new patients and have outlined the steps below to help you easily schedule your visit.
We accept most major insurance plans. Visit our insurance page for more details.
If you would like to verify if we are in-network with your insurance, please take a photo of the front and back of your insurance card and submit your date of birth to info@newbloomderm.com
Dermatology is considered a specialty and certain plans, including HMO and specific Oxford plans, require a referral from a primary care doctor. Please call the office with your insurance ID and date of birth to verify if a referral is needed. If the referral is not received before the visit, the office visit will not be billable to insurance. The referrals must be electronic and include the following information:
Dr. Erin Kil
NPI: 1215199088
Office Address: 670 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10014
NYU Students with the Wellfleet Plan are required to obtain a referral from the Student Health Center and submit a referral that says “Dermatology” or include the previously mentioned NPI and office address.
If you need to reschedule or cancel a medical visit or cosmetic consultation, please inform us by phone, text, or email before 1pm, one business day before your appointment. Patients who need to reschedule or cancel a surgical procedure or facial service are required to do so by 1pm, two business days before the procedure. Late cancellation and no show fees will be charged if the cancellation is made past the deadline or the patient does not show up to the visit.
Patients who need to reschedule or cancel laser procedures are required to do so by 1pm, two business days prior to the appointment or else lose the deposit charged for the procedure.
Medical appointments and cosmetic consultations are scheduled for 15 minutes. Other surgical and laser appointments are scheduled for longer periods to provide adequate time for the completion of the procedure.
Dermatology is considered a specialty. While yearly skin checks are recommended, health insurance plans do not consider skin cancer screenings as preventative care. Consequently, an office visit is billed to the insurance for the skin cancer screening and the copay is charged at the time of the visit. If the patient has not met their deductible, there will be a remaining balance determined by the insurance.
The cost of the visit will depend on the complexity of the medical conditions presented at the visit along with the medications prescribed. There will be an office visit billed for all visits, including skin cancer screenings. At the time of the visit, a copay is charged. There are additional charges if the patient requests procedures, such as wart destruction, biopsies, and cortisone injections.
Most patients with commercial insurance have a deductible, which means they will be responsible to pay for the visit before the insurance starts paying for services. Insurances also have co-insurances after the deductible is met and as a result, the patient is responsible to pay for a percentage of the visit. The insurance will determine your final balance and after the explanation of benefits (EOB) is received, the card on file will be charged. The deductible and coinsurance charge is in addition to the copay.
Patients who are considered out of network will be charged the self pay fee. Please call the office for further details.
All patients are required to place a credit card on file for any copay, deductible, co-insurance, late cancellation and no show fees. Debit cards are not accepted. Patients using their HSA card can use that as the primary card and are required to put in a secondary credit card.
Cosmetic procedures, including botox, fillers, and lasers, require a mandatory cosmetic consultation, which is $200 and can be applied towards the cost of the procedure. Please mention this request in the notes while making an online appointment request. After the consultation is completed, the procedure may be performed on the same visit or at a subsequent appointment, depending on the service requested.
Please inform the office of your new insurance before the visit to verify coverage. If you do not inform us of your new insurance, you will end up being responsible for the full cost of the visit and new insurance may not accept a delayed insurance claim.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork, including consent forms and questions regarding your medical history.
